April 9, 2003 - Finishing Kit has arrived. Starting inventory.
May 28, 2003 - First contemplation of Canopy. Finished up wing nutplates.
May 29, 2003 - Installed Roll Bar. What a pain....
June 4, 2003 - Roll bar brace drilled and bolted. Started on canopy rollers.
June 5, 2003 - Assembled top canopy slide, set canopy on fuselage.
June 7, 2003 - Finished canopy frame bending and made first cut on canopy.
June 12, 2003 - Cut canopy to fit frame and drilled top of canopy to frame.
June 13, 2003 - Worked on canopy top strip and made another cut on front.
June 14, 2003 - Broke canopy frame, started on gascolator bracket.
June 15, 2003 - Mounted gascolator, transducer bracket, drilled firewall holes.
June 16, 2003 - Motor mount, had canopy frame welded and installing canopy.
June 17, 2003 - Worked on front windscreen (Windshield) all day.
June 18, 2003 - Finished front windscreen drilling, started on canopy latch.
June 24, 2003 - Finished canopy latch and drilled canopy rails and top slide.
July 1, 2003 - Canopy frame rear blocks.
July 5, 2003 - Canopy side skirts, skirt braces, and inside skirts.
July 6, 2003 - Working on C-666 canopy aft skirts.
July 14, 2003 - Engine Control Brackets and Working on 'new' C-666 aft canopy skirts.
July 16, 2003 - Painted, etched, Alodined, and riveting canopy skirts to canopy frame.
July 17, 2003 - Finished riveting canopy.... yep, 99% finished with the canopy, yahoo!
July 23, 2003 - Working on landing gear, Cleveland brakes and wheels.
July 24, 2003 - EAA inspection, nose wheel & tire, mounted nose gear.
September 21, 2003 - Working on panel vent tubing, glued vent to fuselage... hope it holds.
September 22, 2003 - Re-glued vent to fuselage, cut silicon from vent eyeball, oil press spacer.
October 9, 2003 - Finished Firewall Insulation and started working on routing control cables.
October 15, 2003 - Working on upper cowl.
October 16, 2003 - Cut upper cowl to fuselage and started fitting lower cowl.
October 21, 2003 - Working on lower cowl. Lots of work here.
October 23, 2003 - Cut bottom edge of lower cowl and re-drilled top cowl to fit better.
October 26, 2003 - Cut, sanded lower cowl to fit the top. Installed lower hinge on firewall.
November 4, 2003 - Drilled top hinges to cowl, removed and working on side of fuselage.
November 6, 2003 - Worked on the inside of fuselage, checked radio, installed cabin heat cable.
November 13, 2003 - Throttle cable, right brake line, worked on top fuselage skin (7106)
November 19, 2003 - Riveting 7106 top forward skin work, and left side skin along canopy rail.
November 20, 2003 - Finished right side of 7106 forward skin. Working on left side.
November 21, 2003 - Finished up left side of 7106 forward skin.
November 22, 2003 - Working on Cowls, drilled tops, bottoms, and sides.
November 23, 2003 - Started riveting hinges on top and bottom cowls.
December 2, 2003 - Started working on the engine baffle kit. Lots of work here...
December 3, 2003 - More work on the engine baffles.
December 6, 2003 - Yup, more engine baffle work.
December 7, 2003 - Ohhh! More baffle work. Left floor almost done.
December 8, 2003 - Trimming top edges of baffles to mate with top cowl.
December 16, 2003 - Working on Oil Cooler flanges, and on the baffle seals.
December 20, 2003 - Finished engine baffle seals, installed oil cooler.
December 27, 2003 - Fiberglass some of upper cowl, finished right brake, filled with brake fluid.
December 30, 2003 - Painted glareshield, set windscreen and canopy in place.
December 31, 2003 - Working on windshield (windscreen) and canopy mating. Lots of work here.
January 1, 2004 - Happy New Year! First coat of fiberglass on windshield, and work on oil door.
January 6, 2004 - More resin work on the windshield and canopy area.
January 8, 2004 - Sanded windshield / canopy area and applied another coat of resin.
January 12, 2004 - More work on the windshield, finished magneto and sparkplug wiring.
January 17, 2004 - Engine priming installed, working on windshield and battery brackets.
January 18, 2004 - Working on lower cowl rear bracket. Tricky item...
January 19, 2004 - Battery mount done, 90% finished with exhaust mounts.
February 21, 2004 - Buttoned up the rear of the fuselage, seat belt cables, and painted windscreen.
February 22, 2004 - Put pilot seat in place to see what it looks like. Real nice!
February 23, 2004 - Moving co-pilot headphone jacks, and mounting eye-ball vents in panel.
March 2, 2004 - Vertical Stab tip, SuperFil trial, and turned engine over for 20 psig oil pressure.
March 14, 2004 - Finished lower rudder tip, and started on the spinner assembly.
March 20, 2004 - More canopy fiberglass work and working on Propeller Nose Cone.
March 23, 2004 - Finished nose cone, working on canopy finish, upper cowl finish, and started in on the intake.
March 24, 2004 - Working on upper cowl finish work, sanded on canopy filler, and more work on the intake.
March 28, 2004 - Finishing up filter box and lower cowl inlet scoop. Lots of work here.
March 31, 2004 - Done with filter box. Made top cowl clip holder. Installed Navaid Servo. Working on left wingtip.
April 2, 2004 - Finishing up Wingtips and started working on the right Landing and Strobe/Navigation lights.
April 5, 2004 - Took a break from the Wingtips and put primer on the upper cowl, windshield border, nose cone, and canopy.
April 20, 2004 - Labeled dash, put on 'N' number, placards on dash, getting ready to move fuselage to airport.
June 12, 2004 - Working on Wheel Pants and Leg Fairings. Lori started on the interior work.
June 13, 2004 - Gained 28MPH with Wheel Pants and Leg Fairing. (90% completed)
