One last vacation trip... or at least, for this summer. Here are the two vacationers here.
This is a shot of Newport, Oregon as we made our approach. The wind was blowing so hard that while I held the brakes, Lori got out and tied down the tail of the plane. Maybe we'll install a parking brake one of these days.
This is the Newport bridge.
The next shots were made of the Oregon coastline as we drove up North.
Another shot... looking North.
I'm not sure what you call this rock... but it made for a nice photo with the sun setting behind it.
... a sandy beach.
... and a beautiful sunset.
We also visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Tillamook, Oregon. They sure do package a lot of cheese in a hurry.
Then we made our way to the Tillamook Air Museum. This hanger is one of two that use to house hot air balloons (blimps) during WWII.
...these next shots are of planes that I don't recognize. But they are beautiful.
...this is the inside of the museum. The framework is made of wood.
... this is the Aircrane that sets outside of the museum.
And last, but not least, this little flier made my day. I must have taken 15 pictures before one of them turned out decent. Lori disagrees with me, she says several of them turned out.
