In the summer of 2004 we hosted an airplane flyin' in Winnemucca. I
would have taken more pictures, but I was busy with the BBQ and talking
with the people who flew in for the event. It was a lot of fun. |
This plane here was busy taking rides. The owner 'Joe' likes to take
people up and give them an open cockpit view and a bit of historical
flying. This is a real nice plane. |
This is a gyrocopter that caught a lot of attention. |
A Cub is another plane that catches lots of attention. The owner has
flown many flights in Alaska and is an avid flyer. |
This Europa has a steering wheel like a car, or so I have heard. I could
be wrong though, there were too many plane to keep them all straight. |
For the kids, we put together a simulator computer and let them 'safely'
flight all kinds of aircraft. They had a blast. |
The local Civil Air Patrol put on a display that is really cool. It
is nice to see youngsters disciplined and getting ready for their careers. |
Plenty of planes.... |
I wish I knew what kind of planes these were, but I'm no help here. |
Another nice plane. |
This one was pretty cool and they flew in from Utah for the flyin'
excitement. |
Now this one I know is an RV. Not sure if it is a 6 or a 7, but it's
still a nice plane. |
