Bog Hot, Nevada 2006

Every spring we travel to a little-known spot in Northern Nevada.  The stream runs from a hot spring that is far too hot at the spring, and just about right 400 yards downstream.  Every year we pickup trash from other visitors, so please pack out what you pack in.
The pool below is about 3-4 feet at the deepest point, and the rocks offer a nice place to sit and relax with the water flowing over you.
This is Brent and his friend.  Brent is almost always in the water.  The weather is mostly unpredictable this time of year, so be sure to bring clothes for all four seasons (and your swimsuit).

One measure of caution, watch for snakes.  This is the wild-wild West and Nevada has its share of these slithering reptiles; less commonly know by their classification Sauropsida.
