Lori and I made a flight over to Siletz Bay this summer and visited with
our uncle Lamar and aunt Olga. They are wonderful hosts and took us
to the coast to see some sights. Siletz Bay is near Lincoln City,
Oregon and the view of the coast line are just beautiful. They
actually live in Depot Bay, which is a small rocky fishing inlet.
This picture is taken from the rocky outlet of Depot Bay looking north.
Next we went whale watching from the bluffs above. We saw plenty of
whales. The little black dot in the middle of the picture is a
whales tail. I'm guessing the whales are Blue Whales and I
understand they come inland to fish.
The little squirrel here was a friend of the family and he proceeded to
take in dinner; paying us no mind at all.
This is Depot Bay, looking inland. The nice thing about Depot Bay is
the short amount of distance a fishing boat has to take to get to open
water.
