Reno, Nevada, Air Races 2007

Brent and I met Grandma and Grandpa at the Reno Air Races in September.  There are a lot of planes here and we took our pickup and camper and stayed at a friends house near the airport.  In fact, we could walk to a portion of the raceway.

Of course, we also had tickets to get inside the race area and grand-stands.  This little cub took off and landed on this pickup.  A pretty cool trick.

The Snowbirds from Canada were at this years show.  They put on an excellent display of formation flying.
Another picture of the snowbirds.
Now this is neat, they flew the shape of a heart and then flew an arrow through it.
This is Grandpa and Grandson (Brent) enjoying some of the planes.
There were so many planes I couldn't even begin to name them.  Big horsepower planes all the way to sport high performance Glass-air models.
The heritage flight was four military airplanes.  Brent had to help name the airplanes for me. He says they are a P38, P51, F16, and some turbine driven model (unknown at this time).

They put on a real cool display.

This is one of the air show planes.  These guys flying these machines are really good.  I have never seen an airplane do cartwheels before.

The races included every high performance plane imaginable.  These two here are jets.
