Brent and I met Grandma and Grandpa at the Reno Air Races in September.
There are a lot of planes here and we took our pickup and camper and
stayed at a friends house near the airport. In fact, we could walk
to a portion of the raceway.
Of course, we also had tickets to get inside the race area and
grand-stands. This little cub took off and landed on this pickup.
A pretty cool trick. |

The Snowbirds from Canada were at this years show. They put on an
excellent display of formation flying. |

Another picture of the snowbirds. |

Now this is neat, they flew the shape of a heart and then flew an arrow
through it. |
 |
This is Grandpa and Grandson (Brent) enjoying some of the planes. |

There were so many planes I couldn't even begin to name them. Big
horsepower planes all the way to sport high performance Glass-air models. |
 |
The heritage flight was four military airplanes. Brent had to help
name the airplanes for me. He says they are a P38, P51, F16, and some
turbine driven model (unknown at this time).
They put on a real cool display. |

This is one of the air show planes. These guys flying these machines
are really good. I have never seen an airplane do cartwheels before. |
 |
The races included every high
performance plane imaginable. These two here are jets.
